Twin-engine, medium lift, Combat Search and Rescue and Special Operations Support helicopter.
The HH-60H Seahawk is a twin-engine helicopter used by the Navy in a CSAR/SOS role. Based on the SH-60 airframe (The Naval variant of the basic S-60 Blackhawk utility helicopter) the HH-60H has been optimized for low level insertions and extractions, self defense, enemy small arms fire suppression, and bulk cargo and troop transport. The H variant is also equipped with an externally mounted hoist and is configured for low level night operations with Night Vision Goggle (NVG) compatible instruments and anti-collision aircraft running lights. The HH-60H is capable of transporting a 6,000 pound load externally, and it's gross carrying capacity is rated at 7,400 pounds.
