Description

Developed as a variant to the Su-27 Flanker B, the Su-35 is an improved version of the earlier aircraft, incorperating many of the new systems found on the Su-34 strike aircraft. These improvements include improved offensive and defensive avionics, movable forward mounted canards for increased maneuverability, an advanced pulse doppler pased array radar in the nose as well as a rearward facing radar capqable of detecting, tracking, and directing R-73 or R-77 AAMs at persuing enemy aircraft.
